Collage Press Yummies and Triple the Sketch RAK!

Good Monday Morning! I can't believe it's Thanksgiving week already! I absolutely love this time of the year.

This month, Collage press sent us the most amazing package. Three new lines of paper; Scrooge & Marley, Seeds, and Grayson Hall. Not only that, but 3 new stamps sets as well; clear stamps. You can only imagine the fun I've had creating with these goodies!! I wanted to show you my absolutely favorite line of them all, but honestly, they are all so beautiful. I just can't choose one.

Here is a card that I created using most of my Collage Press Goodies. I actually created it for Triple the Sketch #34. Right now there is an awesome RAK up for grabs so make sure and check it out!!

And here is another card I created for Triple the Sketch #33.

And here are some of the inside pages of the mini album that I promised to upload this week. These are some photos that I'd already scrapped on a layout but this an album that I'd like to actually give to Kelsey when she's older. Do you ever think about that? Are you going to keep your baby album or pass it on? I know some people who make double. Can you imagine?? LOL!

Thanks for lookin'!! Say 'hello' if you get a chance! I'd love to hear from you.

Blessings on your day!

Time Flies

What a busy weekend we had. Loads of fun though. I wish I could share all the pictures but I'm running out the door to sub again and only have time to post a few things.

We drove one and half hours to our friends apple orchard and were able to experience juicing apples. We picked, washed, cut, loaded, cranked, squeezed and then drank. Yup... the old fashion way. The juicer we used was over 120 years old. Check it out!

And to share a project. Here is my latest Collage Press project. Have a great day!

Wow! What a RAK!!!

I'm off to work again today so this is a quick post. I don't know how people who work full time keep up with their blogs, the projects and life in general! LOL! Yesterday I was working with the highschool band. Ha!! I thought a few of you who know how much rhythm I have would get a chuckle out of that one.

So Amy TaraKoeppel sent me this most amazing RAK that I have to show a photo of. This girl is sooooo generous! She put out a challenge to create a pink layout for Breast Cancer Awareness and I was the random winner. Check this out!!!!!!!

And real quick... a layout I did for Triple the Sketch this past week.

Fiskars Crop (the orangest ever!)

Can you believe that I actually accomplished something at the crop? In between all the excitement and reunions of old friends, I was actually able to finish one of my projects. Of course, the pressure of a deadline always helps! Ha! Sadly, it's one that I can't quite share yet. I did want to share the ATC cards that I made to trade with everyone though. All 100 of them! That was a serious lot of cards to make. Now you know why I haven't had time to go visit all your blogs! LOL!

This one below is of Lucy, Kris, Jodi and I on the train ride right before I was kidnapped. The hat I'm wearing was our train ticket that got us on to the train!

If you want to find out about how to become a part of the Fiskars community click here and then click on Fiska-what? Who knows? Maybe you'll be able to attend an event like this in your area some time. Would you believe this whole entire event only cost $20?? That included our lunch, dinner, snacks, train ride, prizes (everyone got one)make n' take and welcome kit (posted above.) Isn't that amazing?? That's Fiskars for you.

Fisk-a-teer of the Year 2008

We've just completed a very full day of the most amazing event ever! The four of us had such a fun and very chatty 10 1/2 hour trip down. We got up early, anxiously waiting for the big day to begin. Angela did a fantastic job planning out this Fisk-a-friendzy. There were fun surprises around every corner. The biggest surprise to me was when we went on our train ride!

We are in the heart of Virginia City and we had 'real live' old west cowboys on our chartered train. They were a hoot and really played up their rolls. At one point, the train stopped and we all looked out the window at an authentic lookin' noose that was staged on the hill outside the train. One of the cowboys grabbed my arm and shouted to everyone that 'them cowboys had picked someone to go hang.' They dragged me off the train and proceeded to play out this skit about how and why they needed to hang me. Everyone got off the train for the big event and then Suzanne (from Fiskars TV) stepped in saying that she was there to protect the fiskateers, after all, they are so important to the community. She then had some words to say about me personally and pulled out these 3 feet tall scissors! They are HUGE! Giant scissors that really cut! My name and new title 'Fiskateer of the Year' was engraved on them. I was also presented with a stamp that says 'created by Julie Overby, Fiskateer of the year 2008.' I was just speechless!

It was so neat to have Stephanie (Fisakateer legend) and Suzanne there. Of course, it was especially fun to have my good buddies there who actually stood by as the gentlemen continued in a shoot out (skit) and then took me up for a hanging! Angela helped cut me free with my new, gigantic scissors so all was good. LOL!

It was so fun seeing some the N50 girls who I'd gotten to know in Texas last year when Fiskars sent 50 of us to Texas where they spoiled us rotten. At this event there were 100 of us and of course we were all terribly spoiled again. I love how Fiskars is so supportive of their crafting community. A truly amazing company.

Ready to see some photos? These are not from my camera. I will share more from the crop when I get home. These are just of the hanging...I mean presentation.

So, I had to climb up this hill in front of 100 people with these strange cowboys and my good friends Lucy, Kris and Jodi just stood around and watched. **gasp**

I had no choice but to tie them up to tracks! LOL!

All kidding aside, I'm completely honored to accept the title of Fiskateer of the year 2008. This has been a weekend I'll never forget!

I have so much to share. I don't know where to begin?

We just got back from Canada last night. I can't wait to share with you some sweet photos. Now it's just deciding which ones to share! But before I do I wanted to mention what is next for me.

I'll be leaving on Friday again to go to Reno for a Fisk-a-Friendzy!!!!!!! I am so very excited! It will be great to meet 100 other scrappers who are apart of the Fiskars community. The best part is, I'm bringing along my very good friends Lucy, Kris and Jodi!! It will be a wonderful time away with them. The fun part is, although I've been to a few Fiskars events before, they never have. They have no idea what they are in for. It is going to be a BLAST and I just can't wait! There will definitely be more on that later. I don't think I'll have time to blog tomorrow. I'm making 100 atc cards and still have repacking to do. So, on Monday, I'll be updating about how it went!

If you want to know about the Fiskars community and the amazing events they are putting on, you can visit them here on the fiskateer board.

Next piece of news. When we arrived home I had another fabulous package from Collage Press. **swoon**. I'm seriously in paper heaven. Three more absolutely gorgeous, paper packs. AND two more stamps sets. I'll be diving into that very shortly!

Another bit of exciting news was that I came home to an email requesting a layout for CREATING KEEPSAKES!!!! I hadn't even submitted it. I nearly fell over in shock and I'm still in absolute amazement.

Last bit of news and then on to some fun photos. This month I am a guest designer for Happy Scrappin' Srapbooking and have just posted a challenge for their site. If you want a little inspiration, check it out here!

Well, we had a wonderful trip full of some really special memories. My brother is glowing now that he is a new daddy, just as I knew he would be. Here are just a few photos of the many photos I took of Kailey Rae. She was born 5 pounds 11 oz. She was teeny tiny and super cute. The first visit we didn't see her with her eyes open. This baby is amazing! We didn't hear a peep out of her all weekend!
